Active Chemicals

  • Polyphenols (flavonoids & catechins) — antioxidants that help neutralize free radicals.
  • L-theanine — promotes relaxation and mental clarity.
  • Caffeine (moderate levels) — slightly higher than Silver Needle but lower than green or black teas.
  • Aromatic terpenes & essential oils — contribute to floral-fruity aroma and mild antimicrobial activity.
  • Trace vitamins and minerals — small amounts of vitamin C, potassium, manganese.

Story & Production

Produced in Menghai county, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan province. It is made from the Fuding cultivar (Da Bai variety), traditionally used in Fujian, but here grown in Yunnan’s subtropical terroir.

The combination of the Fujian genetic base with Yunnan soil and climate gives the tea a distinctive character & appearance: tender buds with young leaves covered in fine white hairs.

It represents an unusual meeting point between Fujian’s traditional white tea heritage and the rich tea-growing environment of Yunnan.
